The Retrofit Summit will coincide with an autumn statement expected to cover energy and construction issues

The Retrofit Summit will include a debate on chancellor George Osborne’s autumn statement as it happens on December 5th, followed by a policy debate on the future of ECO with npower, Places for People and Willmott Dixon. The Retrofit Summit will be part of Retro Expo (London, December 5th and 6th).

26 November 2013 – The future of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) will be the focus of the Retrofit Summit taking place on the day of the Chancellor’s autumn statement (5 December 2013). Jonathan Reynolds MP, Shadow Minister for Climate Change will open the conference with a keynote address on his views and ideas for retrofitting the nation’s buildings.

A policy debate on the future of ECO will then follow. npower, Willmott Dixon and Places for People who will look at the scheme in depth – what we want to keep, what needs to be improved and what’s on everyone’s wish list for the Autumn Statement, which will also be live streamed during the conference.

Following the Chancellor’s statement, a Retrofit Question Time will take place and amongst the panellists will be Charles Phillips, the Head of ECO at the Department of Energy and Climate Change and Jenny Saunders, Chief Executive of National Energy Action. They will be taking questions from delegates on hot retrofit topics of the day and no doubt the future of ECO will be high on the agenda.
